Eliza Wilson

Eliza is in her thirteenth year of violin and fiddle playing. She is pas-

sionate about musically engaging people of all ages and experiences. She has played in several orchestras, including the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra, in the UW-Superior Orchestra for eight years (frequently in leadership and soloist positions), and in the Mesabi Symphony Orchestra where she served as principal violist. She has been honored to study with Dr. Erin Aldridge for six years.

Eliza performs a wide range of music, including classical, fiddling, and jazz. She placed fourth in the Minnesota State Old-Time Fiddle Champi- onships. At the age of fourteen, she fiddled on the streets to raise money for her own violin, and has street performed ever since. Eliza has worked as a soloist for groups such as Minnesota Public Radio, the City of Duluth, the Duluth Chamber of Commerce, and Superior Choice Credit Union. She performs as Pilgrim Lutheran Church’s violinist. She is delighted to teach violin, viola, and fiddle lessons to her lovely students both in her private studio, and as adjunct faculty at Lake Superior College.
